    About Sam Nadler

Growing up in Queens, New York, Sam had many unanswered questions. Shortly after his Orthodox Bar Mitzvah at the age of 13, he gave up any pretense of religious involvement.  In fact, it wasn’t until he came to faith in Messiah Jesus that he realized his Jewishness wasn’t just some accident of nature, but that God had a plan and purpose, not only for himself personally, but for the Jewish people as a whole.

During his years in college, and later in the army, Sam basically sought to find whatever satisfaction and happiness was available in an otherwise confusing world. In his early twenties, when first meeting some believers in Jesus, Sam laughed at them, thinking “what an awful waste of time” all religion was.  He was challenged to attend a Bible study.  As Sam looked at certain texts from the Hebrew Bible, they seemed to point in one direction.  At first it appeared to be just a coincidence, but over a period of months, while believers prayed, Sam found himself facing the fact that Jesus is indeed the true Messiah of Israel.

After repenting and trusting in Jesus as Lord and Savior, Sam felt led of God to prepare to share Messiah. He attended Simpson Bible College in San Francisco and graduated from Northeastern Bible College in New Jersey, while with a group just starting called Jews for Jesus. For several years Sam led an evangelistic team, traveling throughout the United States and Israel proclaiming the Good News through Jewish gospel music and drama. He then began the Jews for Jesus outreach in New York City, and for the next four years saw many Jews and Gentiles come to faith in Messiah through weekly Bible studies and evangelistic outreaches.

Later as the President of Chosen People Ministries, he helped build international outreach, congregational planting and leadership development in Israel, the Ukraine, Germany, South America, Canada as well as the United States. Seeing the Lord work in ministry continually brought him back to the Scriptures as he came to realize that coming to faith was only the beginning to establishing a community testimony of Messiah.

Today as president of Word of Messiah Ministries, Sam is continuing to develop leaders for world-wide impact for the gospel among his Jewish People, working with congregation planters across many different organizations. He received a doctoral degree from Southern Evangelical Seminary in 2008. He has also authored several books including Messiah in the Feasts of Israel, The Messianic Answer Book, and devotional commentaries on Jonah and Ruth. To read more about Sam's story, click here.
